Main Aims of Project Management Qualification (SCQF level 8):

1. Cost Accounting Proficiency: Attain a solid understanding of cost accounting , enabling learners to manage project finances effectively and contribute to sound financial decision-making.
2. Legal Acumen for Project Practices: Equip learners with legal knowledge (Level 8, 6 credits) pertinent to project management, ensuring compliance and ethical considerations in project-related activities.
3. Supervisory Leadership Enhancement: Develop supervisory management skills  to lead teams efficiently, fostering collaboration and achieving project objectives with excellence.
4. MS Project & Visio Mastery: Acquire expertise in utilizing MS Project & Visio, enhancing project planning, coordination, and visualization for optimal project outcomes.
5. Advanced Project Management Skills:
   • Cultivate advanced project management skills  to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects, meeting organizational goals efficiently.
6. Health and Safety Integration:
   • Integrate health and safety considerations  into project management practices, ensuring the well-being of project teams and compliance with safety regulations.
7. In-Depth Research Project: Undertake a substantial research project to showcase comprehensive knowledge application and research skills in a real-world project management context.

The qualification consists of the following 7 units:

To be eligible for the Diploma in Project Management  (SCQF Level 8), The learner must successfully pass the  compulsory units as indicated above.

Upon successful completion of this dynamic qualification, learners will:

1. Cost Accounting Competence: Demonstrate proficiency in cost accounting, enabling effective financial planning and resource allocation for successful project management.
2. Legal Acumen in Project Practices : Apply legal knowledge to project management scenarios, ensuring adherence to regulations, ethical considerations, and legal best practices.
3. Supervisory Leadership Excellence: Exhibit advanced supervisory management skills, fostering collaboration, motivation, and effective team coordination for successful project outcomes.
4. MS Project & Visio Proficiency: Master the use of MS Project & Visio tools, utilizing them to enhance project planning, visualization, and communication, ensuring project success.
5. Advanced Project Management Skills: Apply advanced project management techniques throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring efficient goal attainment.
6. Health and Safety Integration: Integrate health and safety considerations into project management practices, creating a secure and compliant working environment for project teams.
7. In-Depth Research and Application: Conduct a substantial research project, showcasing the ability to synthesize knowledge and apply advanced research skills to real-world project management challenges.

• General Certificate of Secondary Education with good grades.
• Equivalent qualification(s) will be considered.
• Applications from mature students and those offering qualifications other than GCE A-Levels are welcomed, and will be considered on an individual basis.
• Applicants for whom English is not a first language will be expected to demonstrate a certified level of proficiency of at least IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 6 or above.

Learner will need to submit:

• A Proof of identity - it could be a national identity card, your passport, or a legally valid document.
• A recent CV and motivation letter.
• Copies of previous certificates and qualifications / Professional experience.

This program will soon be available in French and Arabic. If you prefer to follow the program in one of these languages, simply indicate your preference in the application form, and we will promptly inform you once the program is ready in your chosen language.

If you choose to study in English for this program, you will need at least one of the following:

• IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
• English language certificate or a language knowledge self-statement.

You do not need such certification if you:

• From English speaking countries, or
• Holds a high school diploma from English speaking schools, or
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an English-speaking institution.

Successful Learners may choose to progress directly onto specialist areas of study at Postgraduate level (SCQF Level 11).

Holders of this qualification can join a variety of UK degree programmes at an advanced stage. Degree top-up programmes can be delivered in the UK, locally, or by-distance/online.
