(Undergraduate) Diploma in Digital Content Creation – SCQF Level 8

Programme Aims:

1. Mastery in Advanced Graphic Design: Develop advanced skills and proficiency in graphic design, enabling learners to create visually compelling and innovative designs.
2. Comprehensive Understanding of Graphic Design Principle: Cultivate a deep understanding of graphic design principles, ensuring a strong foundation for creating impactful visual communications.
3. Expertise in Mobile App Development: Acquire specialized knowledge and skills in mobile app development, empowering learners to create functional and user-friendly applications.
4. Proficiency in Pre-Press Printing Techniques: Gain expertise in pre-press printing, ensuring learners can prepare and optimize digital files for high-quality print production.
5. Web Design & Development Excellence: Develop proficiency in web design and development, including the creation of visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
6. Strategic Digital Social Media Marketing Skills : Acquire strategic skills in digital social media marketing, preparing learners to effectively promote and engage audiences through various online platforms
7. In-Depth Research Project (Level 8, 60 Credits):
   • Undertake a substantial research project, allowing learners to synthesize knowledge and apply advanced skills to real-world challenges in the field.

By achieving these aims, the programme ensures that graduates are not only well-versed in the practical aspects of graphic design, mobile app development, and digital marketing but also capable of conducting in-depth research, contributing to the continuous evolution of these dynamic fields.

The qualification consists of the following 7 units:

To be eligible for the Diploma in Digital Content Creation (SCQF Level 8), The learner must successfully pass the compulsory units as indicated above.

Prospective Learners for this Qualification are expected to have one (or more) of the following:
• an SCQF Level 5/6  Qualification in IT subjects.
• an international equivalent to the above Qualifications (Qualified/Skilled worker - Entry to higher education - Completion of secondary education)

In exceptional circumstances, learners who do not meet the prescribed entry requirements may still be granted permission to pursue their chosen qualification, provided that the learner provides evidence demonstrating the potential to successfully complete the qualification.

Learner will need to submit:

• A Proof of identity - it could be a national identity card, your passport, or a legally valid document.
• A recent CV and a motivation letter.
• Copies of previous certificates and qualifications / Professional experience

This program will soon be available in French and Arabic. If you prefer to follow the program in one of these languages, simply indicate your preference in the application form, and we will promptly inform you once the program is ready in your chosen language.

If you choose to study in English for this program, you will need at least one of the following:

• IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
• English language certificate or a language knowledge self-statement.

You do not need such certification if you:

• From English speaking countries, or
• Holds a high school diploma from English speaking schools, or
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an English-speaking institution.
• Conditionally, he has been employed full-time in a European organization for the past two years. In this case, we need proof of duration and position and you will be required to take an English language test.
• passed a standard BARVQ exam.

Successful Learners may choose to progress directly onto specialist areas of study at SCQF Level 11 (Postgraduate), such as the SVQ Management SCQF level 11.

Holders of this qualification can join a variety of UK degree programmes at an advanced stage. Degree top-up programmes can be delivered in the UK, locally, or by-distance/online.
